Studio Seven - The studio
So the new studio is named and...well, does it ever be finished?! At least it is ready to be used. The studio has been named as I said - Studio Seven. The biggest reason why I called it that, is because of the influences of James Bond, Agent 007.
The center of the hardware equipment is a Fujitsu-Siemens computer with a Intel Core™ 2 Quad Q8400 2,66GHz, 8 Gb DDR2. It has a Creative Soundblaster Audigy 2z soundcard inside, and a Phonic Firefly. The speakers by Creative is Soundworks 5.1. Two pairs of headphones are available - Philips Headphones and Sennheiser HP-110 Wireless headphones. The latest hardware bought is M-Audio JamLab USB for the guitar.
The instruments I have in use at the moment are a M-Audio Keystation 49e with Proel Sustain pedal, an electric guitar - a red Hagström Scandi and an acustic guitar, also a Hagström.
The software in use is mainly Acid Pro, which I've used since 1999. At the moment version 6 is installed. I have also Reason 4 installed and started to explore and learn that program. Since the studio is, as I call it, a software studio, Acid Pro has been the heart of the studio. A number of plug-ins and soft synths is used - Spectrasonic Atmosphere, Spectrasonic Trilogy, Spectrasonic Stylus RMX, Arturia CS-80v, and many more. For mastering I use Adobe Audition, and in the end of a production Sony CD architect.
Other software available is Amplitube 2 and GT Player Express, which was delievered with the M-Audio JamLab.
Of course I have wish the studio was a little bit bigger but I manage. Also some equipment and software is on that wish-list.
